Prepare for Hurricane Idalia at Tampa Bay sandbag stations this weekend. Stay ahead of the storm with free sandbags provided by local governments.

Don’t rely on sandbags alone! They may help with minor water intrusion, but they won’t protect you from the devastating effects of storm surge and major flooding.

Pinellas County

Get free sandbags in St. Petersburg, available all year round! The sandbag station is conveniently located at 1744 9th Ave. N., at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building. And now, with the threat of Idalia looming, we’re extending our hours of operation from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays. Don’t wait, prepare for the storm ahead!

Pinellas County is now offering sandbag distribution locations for unincorporated residents. Don’t miss out, as supplies are limited. Stop by from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday to grab up to 10 sandbags per vehicle. Just bring your identification to prove your residency. We’ll provide everything you need – sand, bags, and shovels. All you have to do is fill up the bags and be prepared for any storm that comes your way.
