Yelp’s ‘Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024’ features three outstanding Tampa Bay restaurants

Yelp Inc. (NYSE: YELP) has unveiled its 11th annual list of the “Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S.,” showcasing various local dining establishments. The rankings, influenced by input from the online reviewer community, feature a diverse array of U.S. restaurants, ranging from burger joints and ramen shops to seafood spots and hidden gem Hawaiian eateries.

Notably, St. Petersburg’s Mio’s Grill and Cafe, a Greek restaurant, secured the 12th spot, marking it as the highest-rated establishment in Tampa Bay.

Highlighted among the restaurant’s crowd favorites are delectable options like grilled meatball platters, Falafel wraps, Baba Ghanoush, and Lentil soup.

Moving down the list, Bayshore Mediterranean Grill, situated at 6102 S MacDill Ave., secures its place as the next Tampa Bay restaurant, holding the 75th position on the prestigious list.

Yelp reports that the restaurant boasts an impressive 300-plus five-star reviews, with standout dishes including oven-baked hummus, Baklava, and Kunefe.

Further down the list, Shaker and Peel in Oldsmar secures the 80th spot on Yelp’s rankings, gaining acclaim for its Tampa chicken tacos and Chi-Town egg rolls.

Florida claimed the second-highest number of restaurants on the list, following closely behind California.
