Christmas in the Wild will see ZooTampa undergo a stunning snowy transformation, creating a holiday oasis

ZooTampa, a beloved Tampa destination, is embracing the holiday season with enthusiasm. Christmas in the Wild has become a cherished tradition for Tampa families, and in 2023, ZooTampa is taking it to a whole new level with extraordinary surprises. The official Christmas in the Wild event will span 19 select nights from November 24 to December 30.

One of this year’s standout additions is the introduction of larger-than-life illuminated animal sculptures. As you stroll down the Zoo’s Ituri Pass pathway, you’ll be captivated by interactive, lighted Christmas wreaths. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere while enjoying rock ‘n’ roll renditions of Christmas carols.

Furthermore, you’ll have the chance to experience the new Holiday House Light Show and explore the Snow Winter Oasis, a snowy wonderland in Tampa! Share nostalgic moments with your family as you wander among 32 snow-flocked Christmas trees and hanging snowflakes.

During all event nights, you can enhance your experience by choosing a Holiday African Penguin Encounter or a Holiday Indian Rhino Encounter, both offering the opportunity to get up close to incredible animals. One of the most whimsical features of the park is the Candy Cane Carousel, adorned with enchanting red and white lights.

At ZooTampa, you can also explore Ice Caverns and the Forest of Fantasy, shop at the Holiday Marketplace, decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus, and participate in Reindeer Games.

General admission tickets are priced at $29.95 and can be purchased in advance at zootampa.org. Due to limited event capacity, we strongly recommend making advance reservations.
