Spirit Airlines Expands with Four Fresh Nonstop Routes from Tampa International Airport

Tampa International Airport (TPA) remains committed to linking residents with prime global destinations. Spirit Airlines, a budget-friendly carrier, is set to expand its offerings with new nonstop connections from TPA to four cities this autumn. Additionally, the airline will revive routes to seven seasonal destinations.

Commencing on October 5, Spirit will commence daily nonstop service to Charlotte. Furthermore, starting November 15, Spirit will operate seasonal routes to Norfolk, Richmond, and Charleston, S.C., four times a week. Notably, this marks the maiden occasion of Spirit Airlines offering nonstop flights between TPA and these four cities.

Starting October 5, daily flights to Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Indianapolis are set to recommence. Additionally, daily flights to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh will resume on November 15. For travelers heading to Columbus, Ohio, there will be four weekly flights available starting November 15.

To secure your tickets, you can make reservations directly through Spirit’s website.

Spirit Airlines continues big TPA expansion

“Our friends at Spirit recently celebrated their 30th anniversary at TPA with us, and we’re thrilled to see this ultra-low-cost carrier now adding so many great destinations,” Tampa International Airport CEO Joe Lopano said. “We look forward to their continued growth and success here in Tampa Bay, as we know these new and resuming routes will be popular with our travelers.”

“Our Tampa guests have embraced Spirit’s low-fare, high-value service over the last three decades, allowing us to grow and bring More Go to incredible destinations, including these four new flights and other resuming routes,” said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines. “It also makes it easier for our guests across the network to visit the heart of Florida’s Gulf Coast and enjoy its culture and popular attractions.”
