Free Tampa Food Truck Event Rolls Into Downtown This Week

Downtown Tampa is getting another lunchtime boost as Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta returns with local food trucks and an easy midweek reason to step outside. The free public event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving workers, residents, and visitors a quick way to enjoy Tampa’s growing street-food scene.

The monthly gathering will take place at Lykes Gaslight Park, located near East Madison Street in the Downtown River Arts neighborhood. The City of Tampa lists the event as in-person, open to the public, and not requiring pre-registration, making it an easy lunch stop for anyone already downtown.
