Netflix Special Alert: Bert Kreischer, a Tampa Resident, Takes the Stage in St. Pete
Gasparilla Grand Marshal and Tampa native, the acclaimed stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer, has inked a deal to film two additional Netflix specials, as reported by Variety.
Variety notes that the initial special will be recorded by Kreischer at the Mahaffey Theater in neighboring St. Pete on July 6. This homecoming follows his sell-out performance at Amalie Arena in February 2023. Tickets for the Netflix taping sold out within 30 minutes during the presale, as mentioned in Kreischer’s Instagram post. The shows are scheduled for 7 pm and 9:30 pm on July 5, and 7 pm on July 6.
Bert Kreischer, along with LeeAnn Kreischer, Judi Marmel, Tony Hernandez, Jeff Tomsic, and Jordan Levy, will serve as executive producers for the new specials, according to Michael Schneider of Variety. Tomsic, who also directs, collaborates with Kreischer’s Berty Boy Prods., the production company behind the specials.

Bert Kreischer is set to grace The Mahaffey Theater (400 1st St SE) in St. Pete for a total of four shows on July 5 and 6. Tickets, officially available for purchase on February 2, can be secured through Mahaffey’s website.
From Rolling Stone’s “Number One Partier in the Nation” in 1997 to one of the highest-grossing stand-up comics and a major motion picture star, Bert Kreischer’s career has seen remarkable evolution. Forbes hails him as “one of the best storytellers of his generation,” seamlessly blending anecdotes about family and fatherhood with his signature party-boy humor.
In March 2023, Kreischer released his highly anticipated 5th stand-up special, “Razzle Dazzle,” joining his other specials, “Secret Time,” “The Machine,” and “Hey Big Boy” currently streaming on Netflix. “Razzle Dazzle” has consistently ranked in the top 5 standup specials on Netflix, with at least one of his other three specials accompanying it in the top 20 since its debut.
