The festival started out as a celebration of the berry boom in the 1920s, but it has since grown into a $1 billion industry, making Plant City the Winter Strawberry Capital. But that’s not all – the festival is also known for its concert series with big-name country singers like George Jones and Willie Nelson gracing the stage in previous years. Mark your calendars for the 2024 Florida Strawberry Festival, taking place from February 29 to March 10 at 2209 W. Oak Avenue in Plant City.
