SEMINOLE TRIBE OF FLORIDA SET TO LAUNCH CASINO SPORTS BETTING NEXT MONTH

The Seminoles are scheduled to introduce sports betting, craps, and roulette at their three South Florida casinos on December 7, as stated in the release. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa will follow suit on December 8, with the tribe’s casinos in Immokalee and Brighton set to do the same on December 11.

Seminole Tribe leaders unveiled their plan on Wednesday to introduce sports betting at their casinos in December, marking the initial phase of a potential expansion of gambling in Florida following approval from the U.S. Supreme Court.

This announcement follows over two years of legal disputes related to a 2021 agreement with the state, granting the Seminoles the ability to offer online sports betting throughout Florida and include craps and roulette in their casinos.

While the agreement permits statewide sports betting, the tribe is initially taking a more limited approach by starting with in-person sports betting at its six Florida establishments. A legal challenge regarding broader online sports betting is still pending at the Florida Supreme Court.
