USF Athletics has secured its largest-ever donation, a monumental $25 million gift from Tampa General Hospital. This historic contribution is a significant step towards realizing a cutting-edge training facility for college athletes, a key component of USF’s ambitious on-campus stadium project.
The USF Football Team has just commenced its season, with several major home games on the horizon, including a matchup against Alabama scheduled for September 16 at Raymond James Stadium.
During the summer, the USF board of trustees granted approval for an extensive $340 million budget dedicated to constructing a state-of-the-art, 35,000-seat football stadium directly on the Bulls’ campus.
To finance this transformative project, the board has authorized an impressive $200 million in debt expenditure, ensuring the realization of the majority of the stadium. Additional funding will be sourced from donations and other university resources. While the exact cost is slated to be confirmed next year, as reported by The Tampa Bay Business Journal, this exciting venture is projected to debut for the 2026 season.
