Ric Flair to lead the grand Knight Parade's return to Ybor City

Prepare for the premier night parade in the southern region. The annual Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade has been a celebration of Tampa civic pride since 1974, and the 2024 edition is scheduled for February 10 at 7 pm. Every February, Ybor City comes alive with costumed participants, vibrant floats, marching bands, and special guests parading down Seventh Avenue, attracting thousands of spectators and families. Over 100 organizations, including local government officials, dignitaries, and numerous krewes from Tampa Bay, will partake in the Knight Parade.

This year’s Grand Marshal for the 2024 parade is none other than the “Most Decorated World Champion” Wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair. Joining as a special guest for the parade is MOR-TV personality Steve Wilkos, along with the newly proclaimed El Rey (King) Chris Cubero and La Reina (Queen) Quinn Erickson from the Krewe of Sant’ Yago.

Enjoy one of the largest night parades in the south

“We’re fired up to have Ric Flair, one of the most celebrated wrestlers of all time, join us as Grand Marshal for the Knight Parade,” said Jimmy Piloto, Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago member and 2024 Baron. “As a Tampa resident, Ric puts his irrepressible energy and enthusiasm to work in support of the community. As Grand Marshall, I’m sure he’ll get the parade crowd pumped up with his undeniable flair this year.”

Taking the role of Grand Marshal, Flair will kick off the 2024 Knight Parade, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. The parade will feature a dazzling array of illuminated floats making their way down Seventh Avenue in the historic Ybor City. Accompanied by numerous marching bands, local dignitaries, and thousands of participants, the event promises to captivate an anticipated audience of 100,000 spectators, who will be showered with colorful beads throughout the festivities.

A family-friendly event with thousands of spectators

The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’Yago Illuminated Night Parade is a family-friendly extravaganza.
