TikTok’s Viral ‘Dirty Soda’ Chain Set to Shake Up Tampa!
Swig Drinks, famous for its TikTok-viral “dirty soda” creations, is gearing up for expansion in the Tampa Bay region.
The first confirmed location for Swig will be at Cypress Creek Town Center in Pasco County, right next to PopStroke. The Utah-based drive-thru chain has signed a ground lease for this site, with plans for more locations in the pipeline, according to Willow Ferrelli, managing partner and broker for ACRE Commercial in Tampa.
Representatives from Swig did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday. The chain is known for adding creams, syrups, and fruit to popular sodas like Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, and Mountain Dew. They also offer quick snacks like pretzel bites and cookies, along with their fan-favorite pebble ice.
Ferrelli represents the franchise group that has signed a multi-unit deal to open Swig locations from Lecanto in Citrus County all the way to St. Petersburg. While it’s still too early to confirm additional sites, leasing negotiations are ongoing for several potential locations.
Swig typically looks for half-acre sites for its stores, which generally range from 800 to 1,000 square feet. However, their store prototypes can vary in size, from 750 to 1,800 square feet, depending on available real estate.
“We are very excited to bring Swig to the Greater Tampa Bay area,” Ferrelli said in a statement. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with excitement from social media influencers to celebrities, reflecting Swig’s extensive fan base.”
Tampa Bay is not the only Florida market where Swig is growing. A new location is also set to open in Clermont. Since launching multi-unit franchising in 2023, Swig has signed 12 franchise deals that will bring a total of 250 new stores in the future.
