Florida’s First Drive-Thru Wawa Restaurant Coming to Tampa Bay Area

The Tampa Bay area is about to welcome Florida’s first Wawa drive-thru.

Wawa’s upcoming Largo location is set to debut as a dedicated drive-thru store, marking a groundbreaking first for the state and targeting a year-end opening.

Positioned at 2530 East Bay Drive, as confirmed by Largo city authorities, this novel establishment is presently undergoing an extensive site plan review process.

Wawa said the new store concept will give customers the opportunity to “experience and enjoy their favorite Wawa products while remaining inside their vehicle.”

“It will further our mission of boundless convenience and is designed to provide fast, drive-thru service without customers even leaving their cars,” a spokesperson told WFLA.

Wawa’s first drive-thru-only store opened in Falls Township, Pennsylvania.
