Get ready for a new and exciting dining experience in St. Pete! Say goodbye to Latin dancing nights and Barcelona cuisine, because Ceviche has moved a few blocks away. But don’t worry, there’s something amazing taking its place. Introducing Fortu, a brand new pan-Asian steakhouse concept, opening soon at 95 Central Ave.

Fortu is the brainchild of Benson Hospital Group and local restaurateur Shan Bakrac, who has already brought us popular spots like Top Slice Pizzeria and Black Cattle Burger Co. This new venture promises to be something truly special.

Originally planned with sleek red-and-black interiors and Japanese influences, Fortu has undergone some design changes. Now, you can expect a more inviting atmosphere with lighter Earth tones like beige and brown, complemented by dark wood accents.

“I think it looks a lot better than the red and black we had originally envisioned,” Rose added.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll be captivated by the lantern style pendant lighting, adorned with Fortu’s logo – a unique and stylish “F” resembling a traditional Japanese Torii gate.

Featuring a delicious assortment of land and sea dishes. From the delectable Lobster Dynamite to the irresistible miso sea bass, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss out on the raw bar, the mouthwatering Korean fried chicken, the flavorful hot & sour beef, and the succulent roasted pork collar. And for those seeking the ultimate wagyu experience, our specialty menu offers exquisite cuts like striploin, coulotte, tenderloin, and skirt steak.

Quench your thirst at our bar, where we proudly serve high-end Japanese whiskeys, handcrafted cocktails, sake, and an impeccable selection of wines. Sip on classics like the Japanese Highball or indulge in the unique flavors of our Milk Punch.

Whether you choose to dine indoors or relax in our outdoor seating area, Fortu can comfortably accommodate nearly 200 guests at once. And while you’re enjoying the fantastic atmosphere, don’t forget to explore our exclusive Latin themed speakeasy, El Cante, located in the basement.

Be part of the Fortu team! They are currently hiring for various positions, including servers, hosts, prep and line cooks, and more. Join them as they prepare for the grand opening in September.

Those interested in applying should email resumes to careers@forturestaurants.com.
