Listeria Outbreak Hits Tampa Buffet, Officials Issue Warning

A listeria outbreak, linked to a Tampa buffet, has sickened five people and prompted local health officials to warn diners who may have visited the restaurant during a specific period. The outbreak involves China Buffet at 1245 E. Fowler Avenue in Tampa.

The Florida Department of Health, working through its Hillsborough County office, reported that five people became ill. Four of those individuals had eaten at the China Buffet between March and June, according to the report.
