Deputies Respond to Gun Discharge at Brandon Mall, Initiating ‘Possible Shooting’ Alert
Brandon Mall. – Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office swiftly reacted to reports of a potential shooting at the renowned Brandon Town Center Mall on Saturday afternoon. Thankfully, upon thorough investigation of surveillance footage, it was revealed that the incident was simply an unintended discharge of a firearm by a woman who was reaching for an item in her purse.
Authorities have confirmed that no injuries have been reported, ensuring the public that there is no ongoing danger. However, as a precautionary measure, the mall will remain closed for the remainder of the day.
